A harvest of tender leaves from a high elevation mountain, above 1200-1400 meters above sea-level, deep within the forest heart of the Wuyi Mountains. Very few people are allowed in this protected forest reserve as only locals are allowed to enter and stay; and even fewer traverse up these mountains. This area is very  secluded,  enshrouded in heavy mist for a majority of the year, and doesn't get much sunlight.

The tea trees are left to grow wild and are well over 100 years of age, possibly much older. The trees have very wide trunks and the branches climbs with moss. No one could answer how old the trees were -actual age is unknown - but I was told that the family had been crafting black tea from these trees for many generations.

Crafted in a more modern style of lightly oxidized and light convection oven roast. This is a light and sweet black tea. Not bold or full-bodied, but silky sweet with a very long, pronounced, and sustained finish  that persist steep after steep.

Brews of golden orange and maintains vigor even after multiple infusions.

Brewing Recommendations:

4 - 5 grams (increase dosage for higher sweetness. Very easy to brew at any temperature, 205-212F.
