Quality material harvested from a wild grove of old grove Shui Xian trees from a high elevation garden covered in thick mist for the majority of the year. The high humidity and cold creates the perfect conditions for the tea trees grow slowly in a secluded and quiet place - where the trees are verdant green and climbing with moss. There are a few old groves that tends to be scattered in this area and can be difficult reach. My objective is to look for wild old groves from different areas that has their own special microclimate.

A darker version, high roast, compared to the 2023 Wild High Mountain Old Grove Shui Xian. This batch got an extra roasting to dehydrate it further to concentrate the flavors adds some nuttiness, and deepens the innate Shui Xian flavor, followed with a pleasant dry bite of tingling yanyun "rock rhyme" at end.

Vibrant high mountain mossy florals with a sustained rock sugar clarity and sweetness. The Qi-like fragrance is ascending - unique to this tea's high elevation microclimate. An enjoyable tea I find myself reaching for everyday as my default go-to.

*High Roast preserves some vibrancy and fragrance; This is not a Zuhuo Full Traditional dark roast (heavily oxidized and dark).

Use a denser and harder purple clay zisha teapot to concentrate the fragrance more, as this tea can be pushed by using more leaves and hotter water. Brewing with less leaves will require longer brewing time, which will yield a more even and clear brew. A very versatile tea nonetheless.
